It’s getting increasingly rare to see a nice set of daisies on a Miata and they’re so iconic. So I’m cleaning them up and will hopefully sell them off to someone who’s restoring a car. The center caps were exceptionally bad but they cleaned up fairly well. One of them could use a full sand down but that’s okay. I just really want to send them to a good home (and get a few bucks back).
I’m waiting for the aluminum cleaner to come in before I go much further. Getting this wheel as clean as I did took an insane amount of elbow grease.

Did you do all that without sanding?? That’s impressive. If I could still fit them over my brakes I’d buy em in a heartbeat for winter tires

Yeah I picked some up on CL for like $75 for winter tires on my wife’s Kia Rio but she wanted them spray painted white and yellow like actual daisies. I felt bad for ruining them but they were already pretty rough and it was the most interest she’d ever shown in a car mod before so I did it for her. Plus when we moved last week I gave them to the biggest miataphile I’ve ever met for free so they’ll get another life there, still had good Altimax arctics too but it was such a short notice move I didn’t have time to try to sell them or anything.

Just a brush, some diluted greased lightning, and 2000 grit sandpaper. Fitting over brakes is why I can’t use them :(

Somebody will buy them. I bought a nice set on Craigslist for $200 with decent tires to replace some real ricey wheels on a Miata I flipped.
You can market them to a ton of people because lots of older cars used the 4 x 100 bolt pattern.

You should totally paint the wheels (not including the caps), it gives them a Watanabe RS/Panasport vibe.
